Hollo-Klausen Represents Norway at Cannes



Norwegian producer Teréz Hollo-Klausen, who most recently executive produced Norwegian director Arild Østin Ommundsen’s It’s Only Make Believe (Eventyrland/2013),  will be the Norwegian Producer on the Move between 17-19 May during this year’s Cannes International Film Festival.

Fiften years of film production

Hollo-Klausen has worked with film since 1999 – after jobs as production coordinator and associate producer, she produced her first feature for Oslo’s Cinenord, Norwegian director Anne Sewitsky Totally True Love (Jørgen + Anne = sant) in 2011. This film was the opening feature for the Generation programmet at the Berlinale in 2011 and was later distributed in Germany.

After initiating the Production of Arne Lindtner Næss’ Caspar and Emma – Best Friends (Karsten og Petra blir bestevenner/2013) she moved to Stavanger; she is currently working with Los Angeles-based, Norwegian director-producer Sten Hellevig on his first feature, Dryads, while developing a music documentary, One Hit Wonder Girl.

Fifteenth edition of Producer on the Move

Organised on the Côte d’Azur by the European Film Promotion since 2000, the networking programme – working sessions, round tables with product presentations, a closing lunch with more than 100 European producers – introduces 24 new up-and-coming producers to the international film industry.

A Norwegian success story

In 2011 Norwegian producer Maria Ekerhovd, of Mer Film, met her German colleague Gian-Piero Ringel, of Neue Road Movies the Producer on the Move-programme.   Since then,  they have co-produced Norwegian director Dirk Ohm – The Illusionist That Disappeared (Dirk Ohm – tryllekunstneren som forsvant) and German director Wim Wenders’ Everything Will Be Fine in addition to the documentary Cathedrals of Culture.
