Director Eksil Vogt’s film Blind received at Sundance Film Festival the prize for best script. “The World Cinema Screenwriting Award is important to the film’s future performance in the markets,” said Norwegian producer Hans-Jørgen Osnes, who backed the production for Motlys with Sigve Endresen. The film is about Ingrid, who has recently gone blind. She retreats to the safety of her home, along with her husband, but soon her deepest fears and repressed fantasies take over.
The Norwegian release of the film was postponed due to the film festival, and the film will also be playing at Berlinale.
Earlier this week another Norwegian, Magnus Mork, short titled “Burger” collected the Special Jury Award for Direction and Ensemble Acting. Burger is an 11 minute drama with gay and straight, male and female, couples, singles and friends filmed late at night in a burger bar in Cardiff.
